CAB
Central Analysis Bureau, Inc. (CAB) is a service organization for the motor carrier insurance industry dedicated to assisting underwriters with their motor carrier and passenger carrier insureds and prospective insureds.
General Liability
Covers the loss exposures arising from a business’ premises and operations, its products or its work.
Auto Liability
Covers bodily injury to others and damages to the property of others resulting from automobile accidents caused by the insured.
Hired Auto Liability
Covers bodily injury to others if insured causes an accident while they are driving a leased, hired, rented or borrowed vehicle for business use.
Non-Owned Auto Liability
Covers bodily injury to others caused by a vehicle not owned by the insured but driven by an insured employee while on company business.
Auto Physical Damage
Collision coverage insures damage to an auto owned by the insured by collision with another object or by overturn. Comprehensive coverage insures damage to an auto owned by the insured by any peril other than collision or overturn. Specified Peril coverage insures damage to an auto owned by the insured by specific perils (normally does not include glass breakage).
Trailer Interchange Legal Liability
Provides coverage for loss or damage to trailers not owned by the insured while in the insured’s possession under a written “trailer” or “equipment” interchange agreement in which insured assumes liability for loss to the trailer while in their possession.
Hired Auto Physical Damage
Provides loss or damage to an auto, which the insured leases, rents, borrows or hires on a short-term basis.
Motor Truck Cargo
Provides coverage for loss or damage to the property that a motor carrier is transporting.
Refrigeration Breakdown
Extends coverage to include the breakdown or failure of a refrigerating unit.
“Wet Steel” Endorsement
Extends coverage to include damage to cargo caused by “dampness, moisture, rain, snow, sleet, or hail” unless property is not maintained and secured with a waterproof tarpaulin.
Stevedore's Legal Liability Insurance Policy
Will cover your liability for loss or damage to ships, their cargoes, wharves, piers, and docks while the ship is being either loaded or unloaded.
Wharf Owners Liability Insurance (Wharfinger) or Landing Dock Liability
Will cover your liability for physical loss or damage to vessels, equipment and their cargoes, freight or other interest while in the insured's custody at landing or mooring facilities owned or operated by the insured.
Longshoremen’s and Harbor Worker's Act
A federal act that stipulates compensation levels for injured longshoremen harbor workers. This includes any adjoining dry dock, wharf, pier, terminal, marine railway, building-way or other adjoining area usually used by an employer in loading, repairing, dismantling, unloading, or building a vessel.

Employment Practices Liability

Actual Cash Value
The sum of money required to pay for damages or lost property, computed on the basis of replacement value less its depreciation by obsolescence or general wear.
Employers Liability Coverage
This is coverage B of the standard Workers Compensation policy. It provides coverage against the common law liability of an employer for injuries to employees as distinguished from the liability imposed by a Workers Compensation law. Employers Liability applies in situations where a worker does not come under these laws.
Workers Compensation
